China GHSGHS, which stands for “Globally Harmonized System”, is a hazardous chemicals management system that addresses issues such as classification, Safety Data Sheet, labeling and packaging of hazardous chemicals. Different countries or trade zones create local/national legislation to implement GHS. On December 1st 2011, the enactment of Order 591 signals the implementation of China GHS.  This seminar will introduce the legislation system of China GHS, regulatory measures and give some legislative approaches for companies facing challenges on inventories, labeling requirement.
>>China New Chemical Substance Notification (China REACH) On 15th October 2010, a REACH-style legislature that regulates the environmental risk and hazard of China’s new chemical substances, ‘Measures for the Environmental Management of New Chemical Substances’, came into effect, under the Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP) Order No. 7. This regulation adopts several of the same principles and concepts of the EU REACH regulation, and thus has been dubbed ‘China REACH’. This legislation is a significant update on its previous Measures enacted in 2003, which has retained the system of New Chemical Substance Notification (NCSN) and introduced a series of new concepts also contained in EU REACH. This seminar will analyze China new chemical substance, notification process and data collection and assessment in detail.

His daily wok combines connecting with accredited laboratory and China Reach enforcement body CRC-MEP (chemical registration center of ministry of environment protection), renders his abundant practical ability in dealing with China Reach.

Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Mr. Sun has rich experience in classification and labeling (C&L) and compiling the safety data sheets (SDS) under requirements of China GHS. He is particularly engaged in the training of China GHS and hazardous chemical regulations for the international companies including Würth Group, Vaillant GmbH, Coloplast A/S, Cardolite Corporation. Currently his focus is on hazardous chemical regulations in China, mainly the Regulations on the Control over Safety of Hazardous Chemicals” (Decree 591).
